Managing Quantity Surveyor – Tier 1 Fit-Out Contractor Dubai, UAE
A leading Tier 1 Fit-Out Contractor in Dubai is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Managing Quantity Surveyor to join its senior commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on prestigious high-end interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across hospitality, commercial, retail, aviation, and luxury residential sectors within the UAE.

The Role Reporting directly to the Commercial Director, the Managing QS will take full responsibility for the commercial management of multiple large-scale fit-out projects from pre-contract through to final account. The successful candidate will lead and mentor a team of Quantity Surveyors while ensuring profitability, risk management, contractual compliance, and commercial success across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial delivery of high-value fit-out projects across Dubai and the wider UAE.
• Manage all pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
• Oversee procurement strategy, subcontractor management, and cost control.
• Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Ensure contractual compliance under FIDIC and bespoke contracts.
• Produce accurate commercial reporting, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
• Support tendering and estimating teams during bid submissions.
• Manage and mentor commercial teams across multiple projects.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Work closely with project and operations teams to maximise project performance and margin.

Requirements

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
• Minimum 10+ years’ experience within the construction or interior fit-out industry.
• Proven experience working with reputable Tier 1 or leading fit-out contractors in the GCC.
• Strong background delivering large-scale, high-end fit-out projects.
• Excellent commercial acumen and contractual knowledge.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts.
• Previous experience managing commercial teams is essential.
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• UAE experience preferred.
