About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal & Government Relations Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in managing legal contracts specific to the heavy machinery and construction equipment industry, along with strong expertise in handling all government-related processes in the UAE.
This role requires someone proactive, organized, and well-versed in UAE laws, licensing procedures, and company establishment protocols, who can confidently represent the company with various government authorities.
Skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage all types of legal contracts and agreements related to heavy machinery sales, rentals, logistics, partnerships, and services.
- Ensure legal documents are compliant with UAE laws, Freezone regulations, and international standards.
- Manage and renew trade licenses, establishment cards, tenancy contracts, and other company-related approvals.
- Process new company license applications, modifications, and cancellations as per business requirements.
- Liaise with all relevant government authorities, including:
- Economic Departments (DED)
- JAFZA / Freezone Authorities
- Ministry of Human Resources & Emiratisation (MOHRE)
- General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA)
- Chamber of Commerce
- Customs & Municipality offices
- Handle all employee visa processes (new, renewal, cancellation, dependent visas, medical tests, Emirates ID, etc.).
- Ensure timely compliance and submission of documents for permits, NOCs, inspections, and government approvals.
- Provide professional advice on legal and government-related matters affecting the company’s operations.
- Maintain a strong relationship network with government officials and legal service providers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Legal and PRO (Public Relations Officer) / Government Relations roles within the heavy machinery, construction equipment, or industrial sector.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor law, commercial regulations, licensing processes, and visa formalities.
- Proven ability to handle legal documentation, contract negotiations, and regulatory compliance.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Valid UAE driving license preferred.
