Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at GEMS Founders School- Dubai. The successful candidate will work closely with special needs children, providing one-on-one support or group to enhance their learning experience and overall development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct one-on-one support to students with special educational needs (SEN) in various learning environments.
- Implement individualized education and behavior plans under the guidance of the SEN Coordinator or relevant professionals.
2. Academic Assistance:
- Assist students in understanding and completing academic tasks, adapting materials to suit their learning styles and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning objectives and modify teaching strategies as needed.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with SEN, promoting emotional well-being and positive behavior.
- Implement strategies to address and manage challenging behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning atmosphere.
- Maintain open communication with teaching staff, Inclusion teacher, and other professionals involved in the student's support network.
- Maintain daily communication with parents effectively.
- Keep detailed records of student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Inclusion teachers to assess and report on the effectiveness of intervention strategies.
