Job Description

Job Title: Lead Mechanical Engineer
Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Project Type: Large-Scale Thermal Power Plant Project
Mobilization: June 2026
Employment Type: Full-time / Project-Based


The Lead Mechanical Engineer will oversee mechanical site supervision activities, coordinate inspectors, and ensure mechanical installation works are executed in compliance with project requirements, quality standards, and construction schedules.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead mechanical supervision activities across the project site
  • Review mechanical installation works, procedures, and contractor submissions
  • Monitor contractor performance and quality of execution
  • Coordinate with civil, electrical, I&C, and commissioning teams
  • Support resolution of technical and construction-related issues
  • Supervise mechanical inspectors and ensure proper site coverage
  • Review progress, inspection findings, and site reports
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC and HSE requirements

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience
  • Strong experience in thermal power plant projects, preferably CCGT
  • Proven background in mechanical construction supervision
  • Strong coordination and reporting skills

Preferred Profile


  • Experience in power island and balance of plant environments
  • Previous Middle East experience
  • Familiarity with rotating equipment, piping, and mechanical systems in power plants
