Job description

Property Finder is the leading property portal in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, dedicated to shaping an inclusive future for real estate while spearheading the region’s growing tech ecosystem. At its core is a clear and powerful purpose: To change living for good in the region.

Founded on the value of great ambitions, Property Finder connects millions of property seekers with thousands of real estate professionals every day. The platform offers a seamless and enriching experience, empowering both buyers and renters to make informed decisions. Since its inception in 2007, Property Finder has evolved into a trusted partner for developers, brokers, and home seekers. As a lighthouse tech company, it continues to create an environment where people can thrive and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of real estate in MENA.

About the Role

We're looking for a Junior Frontend Engineer to join the team building the web experience of the region's leading property marketplace. You'll work on a high-traffic, consumer-facing product used by millions of buyers, renters, and agents — a great place to grow fast, with experienced engineers around you and real production scale from day one.

This is an early-career role for someone with 1–3 years of professional experience: we expect solid fundamentals, curiosity, and a drive to learn. You'll get structured mentorship, thorough code reviews, and steadily increasing ownership as you grow.

What You'll Do
  • Build and improve user-facing features across the Property Finder web experience.

  • Write clean, well-tested TypeScript and React code, following the team's patterns and standards.

  • Work closely with senior engineers, designers, and product managers to turn designs and requirements into polished, responsive interfaces.

  • Participate in code reviews — both receiving feedback on your work and learning to review others'.

  • Help investigate and fix bugs, UI inconsistencies, and performance issues.

  • Learn our stack, tooling, and ways of working, and grow your ownership over time — from well-scoped tasks toward full features.

What We're Looking For

Required technical skills:

  • 1–3 years of frontend development experience on commercial projects.

  • Working knowledge of Next.js — routing, data fetching, and the basics of server-side rendering. This is the framework you'll be working in daily.

  • Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (branches, pull requests, reviews).

  • An eye for detail — you notice when spacing is off, a state is missing, or an interaction feels wrong.

  • Willingness to write tests and to learn testing practices (unit and component testing).

Nice to have:

  • Exposure to responsive design, accessibility (a11y), or web performance basics (Core Web Vitals).

  • Familiarity with CSS-in-JS, Tailwind, or design-system-driven development.

  • Personal projects, open-source contributions, or a portfolio you're proud of.

How you work:

  • You're curious and proactive — you ask questions, seek feedback, and don't stay stuck in silence.

  • You take feedback well and apply it; you see code review as a way to learn, not a gate to pass.

  • You care about the user — you test your own work and think about how real people will experience it.

  • You're reliable: you communicate progress honestly, flag blockers early, and follow through on what you commit to.

Our promise to talent

At Property Finder, we believe talent thrives in an environment where you can be your best self. Where you are empowered to create, elevate, grow, and care. Our team is made up of the best and brightest, united by a shared ambition to change living for good in the region. We attract top talent who want to make an impact. We firmly believe that when our people grow, we all succeed.
