We are seeking a Fresher Mechanical Engineer to join our steel manufacturing operations. The candidate will assist in the operation, maintenance, and improvement of mechanical systems and equipment used in steel production. This role is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on industrial experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities
Assist in monitoring and supporting daily steel production activities
Ensure smooth operation of mechanical equipment such as rolling mills, furnaces, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and hydraulic systems
Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime
Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical machinery
Identify mechanical faults and support senior engineers in troubleshooting
Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and service reports
Support installation, alignment, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment
Assist during machine shutdowns and major overhauls
Follow company safety standards and PPE requirements at all times
Ensure machinery is operated in compliance with safety and quality procedures
Participate in safety drills and toolbox talks
Prepare basic technical reports and daily activity updates
Maintain drawings, manuals, and maintenance records
Assist in inventory management of spare parts
Work closely with senior engineers, technicians, and supervisors
Coordinate with electrical and production departments when required
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Freshers are encouraged to apply
Internship or industrial training experience is an advantage
Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and machinery
Understanding of maintenance practices and engineering drawings
Familiarity with manufacturing or steel plant operations is a plus
Willingness to learn and adapt
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a factory/industrial environment
