Job Description:
The United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Aquaculture/marine science at the rank of Instructor. The appointment will be within the College of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, is expected to begin in the upcoming academic year. Position Summary The successful candidate is expected to establish and develop of curriculum of courses related to aquaculture, fisheries and marine science. Teaching courses as principals of fisheries, mariculture, fish nutrition and breeding, etc. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, and service activities in the field of aquaculture and marine science, with emphasis on aquaculture production and fisheries management relevant to arid and semi-arid environments. Key Responsibilities • Instructing students in practical fisheries and aquaculture sessions. • Developing and applying both formal and informal assessment strategies to track student progress. • Overseeing practical work in specialized facilities, such as tank rooms and wet laboratories, ensuring students develop research and handling skills. • Ability to teach across various platforms, including online learning management systems (e.g., Blackboard, Zoom, Moodle) and delivering hands-on lab instruction. • Providing targeted feedback and reports to students regarding academic growth.
Minimum Qualifications:
• M.Sc. of marine science/aquaculture or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. • Evidence of effective teaching experience at the university level for instructor level, a strong record of teaching, research, and service is required). • Knowledge of hatchery management, grow-out stages for finfish, crustaceans, and shellfish, and systems like recirculating aquaculture (RAS) • Strong communication skills in English.

• Advanced academic credentials, specialized teaching experience, and practical industry engagement • Evidences of teaching experiences • Record of successful curriculum development.
