We are now seeking an exceptional Informatics Sales Specialist to accelerate our commercial growth across the Middle East and emerging markets. Based in either Dubai or Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, you will position Illumina as the region’s leading provider of cloud‑based genomics solutions—supporting customers across Research, Clinical Genomics, Healthcare, Pharma, and Population Genomics. The role requires significant travel across the GCC, Africa, and Turkey.

What You’ll DoCommercial Impact
  • Drive regional sales growth across Illumina’s informatics portfolio, from lead generation to closing.
  • Represent Illumina at conferences, roadshows, trade events, and customer seminars.
  • Coach customers on optimal use of Illumina’s cloud‑native informatics solutions—enabling rapid adoption and long‑term value.
Technical Leadership

You will bring deep expertise in areas including:


  • NGS data analysis, interpretation, annotation, and reporting
  • Clinical sequencing workflows
  • LIMS and laboratory informatics
  • Workflow automation and cloud‑based pipelines
  • Genomic applications and computational methods
  • Data science/AI/ML
  • Proof‑of‑concept design and technical demonstrations
Strategic Collaboration
  • Partner closely with account managers, sales specialists, and channel partners to deliver customer success.
  • Deliver technical and commercial presentations, workshops, and training.
  • Build strong relationships across technical and business stakeholders.
  • Provide Voice‑of‑Customer insights to global product, development, and marketing teams.
  • Support internal enablement as the regional subject matter expert.
  • Own sales reporting, metrics, and performance analyses.
  • Contribute to account planning and regional market‑development strategies.
What You Bring
  • Considerable years of relevant experience, including:
    • Considerable years of experience as a bioinformatician (advanced degree included)
    • Considerable years of experience in B2B life sciences sales within the GCC
  • Hands‑on experience with:
    • NGS data analysis (variant calling, filtering, annotation, interpretation, reporting)
    • Multiomic data formats and applications
    • Enterprise informatics platforms and pipelines
    • Cloud technologies and pricing models
  • Exceptional English communication and training skills
  • Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Proven success in customer‑facing roles, delivering exceptional service
  • Willingness to travel ~40% across GCC, Africa, and Turkey
  • Arabic fluency highly desirable; French a plus
  • Degree in Bioinformatics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or Biochemistry
