Overview & ResponsibilitiesIntroduction

An excellent opportunity has become available to join Ebara Elliott Energy as a Human Resources Generalist. This role is based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and offers a hybrid working model, combining the flexibility of remote work with essential in-office collaboration.

Reporting directly to the Regional EMA HR Manager, the successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting our workforce across both our UAE and UK offices.

This is an ideal position for a detail-oriented HR practitioner who enjoys cross-border operations and thrives in a multi-cultural corporate environment.

Job Responsibilities

The HR Generalist will lead the employee lifecycle (post-hire) and administrative operations for the UAE and UK regions:

  • Onboarding & Induction: Support the Regional EMA HR Manager in the design, development, and implementation of a robust onboarding and induction program. You will ensure the successful integration of all new hires, providing them with the tools and information needed for a high-caliber start.

  • Cross-Border Compliance: Ensure all HR policies, handbooks, and procedures remain fully compliant with both UAE Federal Labour Law and UK Employment Law.

  • Employee Relations & Coaching: In conjunction with the Regional EMA HR Manager, provide support and guidance to line management on Employee Relations issues. This includes performance management, absence management, coaching, and the development of job descriptions.

  • Culture & Engagement: Assist in developing a culture of learning and development (L&D) through training plans, appraisal processes, and succession planning. Support managers in measuring and maintaining high levels of employee engagement across the region.

  • HR Administration: Manage all HR administrative duties, including the drafting of offer letters, employment contracts, references, and official correspondence for both jurisdictions.

  • HRIS & Data Management: Responsible for the accurate entry and maintenance of HR data within Workday. You will develop computer reports as requested, resolve payroll issues, and coordinate with other Elliott Group global locations.

  • Process Improvement: Partner with the wider HR team on specific process and policy improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and service delivery.

  • Bilingual Communication: Utilize fluency in English and Arabic to manage communications with UAE government entities (MOHRE), regional stakeholders, and our UK-based team members.

Education & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CIPD or SHRM) is highly preferred.

  • Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Arabic (written and spoken).

  • Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Workday is essential. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

  • Professional Experience: Proven experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a multinational or global organization.

  • Jurisdictional Knowledge: A strong working knowledge of UAE Labour Law is essential; additional knowledge of UK Employment Law is highly beneficial.

  • Key Competencies: Excellent interpersonal skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage ad-hoc projects and requests as required by the Regional EMA HR Manager.
