Nord Anglia Education is looking to recruit a Head of Secondary to join Nord Anglia International School in Dubai, UAE.


We are looking for an inspirational leader to lead the Secondary School, driving exceptional academic outcomes, student wellbeing and staff development in a culture of compassion and high expectations.


The role:


We seek an individual to join as Head of Secondary where your focus will be:


  • Placing student learning and development at the heart of all strategic planning and resource allocation
  • Elevating the quality of teaching by setting ambitious expectations and rigorously monitoring learning outcomes
  • Driving outstanding attainment and progress throughout the Secondary School, with robust assessment and tracking systems
  • Leading curriculum development to ensure a meaningful, connected and progressive programme across all Key Stages
  • Inspiring and supporting all staff to achieve the highest standards through a culture of continuous professional growth
  • Leading the development of effective strategies for student well-being and behaviour
  • Managing financial and human resources strategically to secure excellence and sustainability
  • Maximising the impact of Nord Anglia Education global initiatives — Juilliard, MIT, IMG Academy and Global Campus
  • Building strategic relationships and partnerships that enhance the school’s profile and create opportunities for students

The Successful Candidate will possess:


  • Qualified Teacher Status with at least five years’ experience in Senior Leadership
  • Previous experience as Head of Secondary, ideally in an international school setting (Desirable)
  • Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and international accreditation (e.g. BTEC, IB, A-level, NEASC)
  • Demonstrated success in enabling outstanding teaching and learning, and developing others
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire confidence
  • Expertise in pastoral care, supporting student well-being and aspirations
  • Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and guidance for child protection and experience leading safeguarding
  • NPQH or equivalent leadership qualification (Desirable)
  • Passion for education and commitment to delivering world-class experiences and outcomes
