About the CompanyOur client, a well-established UAE-based bank, is seeking an experienced Head of Regulatory Reporting. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing regulatory reporting from a governance and oversight perspective, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and strengthening the bank’s compliance framework.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead the regulatory reporting oversight framework within Compliance, ensuring adherence to all applicable regulatory requirementsAct as the primary point of contact for regulators on regulatory reporting matters, including queries, inspections and supervisory engagementProvide independent review and challenge of regulatory submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness and regulatory alignmentInterpret and implement new and evolving regulatory requirements, ensuring timely updates to reporting frameworks and policiesStrengthen governance, policies, and control frameworks supporting regulatory reporting activities across the bankWork closely with Finance, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure consistency, integrity and transparency of regulatory reporting outputs
Requirements8+ years of experience within banking or financial services, with a strong focus on regulatory reporting within a Compliance functionStrong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks and supervisory expectationsProven experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory interactions and inspectionsDemonstrated ability to interpret regulatory requirements and implement them within a structured governance frameworkStrong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide effective challenge and influence senior stakeholdersHigh attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
