Job description

Black & Grey HR is partnering with a well-established, capital-intensive group operating across multiple construction and infrastructure verticals in the UAE and backed by one of the region's most recognised institutional investors.

As the business continues to scale, they are looking for a Head of Finance, a senior leader who brings both strategic vision and the operational depth to run a complex, multi-entity, project-driven finance function.

This is a seat at the leadership table. And it's not a steady-state role.

What You'll Own

- Strategic Financial Leadership Set the financial direction for the group — long-range planning, annual budgets, rolling forecasts — and act as a true strategic partner to the CEO and Board on capital allocation and growth decisions.

- Project & Commercial Finance End-to-end financial oversight of large, complex projects across the group's construction verticals — owning project costing, revenue recognition, margin tracking, and working closely with operations and commercial teams on contract evaluation, pricing, and claims management.

- Commercial Performance & Capital Management Margin improvement, cost optimisation, and working capital discipline. You'll manage treasury, banking relationships, and liquidity planning — ensuring the group's financial instruments are deployed to maximum effect.

- Governance, Risk & Reporting A control environment that's audit-ready and IFRS-compliant, with reporting that gives leadership not just data — but genuine business intelligence.

Finance Transformation & Digital Enablement Lead the migration to a modern ERP platform and drive automation across MIS, budgeting, project costing, and procurement-to-pay — building a finance function that delivers real-time visibility.

- Team Leadership Build and lead a high-performing finance team with depth in FP&A, project finance, and digital transformation — embedding a culture where accountability and transparency are the baseline.

Requirements- 15–20+ years of progressive finance leadership in large, capital-intensive, or project-driven organisations

- Significant experience in the construction or contracting sector — essential
- Proven track record across strategic finance, FP&A, treasury, and board-level stakeholder engagement

- Deep expertise in project accounting, percentage-of-completion revenue recognition, and contracting risk

- Professional qualification: CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, or MBA (Finance)

- ERP experience and a demonstrated ability to lead finance transformation

Benefits- An attractive salary and benefits package, commensurate with the seniority and scope of this role.
