Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Harness Engineer to join our automotive engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of vehicle wiring harness systems, ensuring reliable electrical distribution and connectivity across all vehicle components. This role requires strong technical expertise in automotive electrical systems and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.



Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop wiring harness systems for automotive applications
  • Create and review electrical schematics, diagrams, and layouts
  • Define wire routing, connector selection, and protection strategies
  • Ensure integration of harness systems with vehicle components (ECU, sensors, infotainment, etc.)
  • Perform testing and validation of harness systems (continuity, durability, environmental conditions)
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide root cause analysis
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth implementation
  • Optimize harness design for cost, weight, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety regulations
  • Support production and resolve any electrical-related concerns during manufacturing

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive wiring harness design
  • Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems and components
  • Experience with design tools such as CATIA, Capital, AutoCAD, or similar
  • Familiarity with E/E architecture and vehicle integration
  • Understanding of automotive standards and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience in OEM or automotive supplier environment
  • Knowledge of EV systems is an advantage
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes and quality standards
