The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will play a key role within Damen Group Control, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting across the group. You will act as a subject-matter expert on accounting and reporting matters, supporting senior management, auditors, and stakeholders with high-quality financial insight and governance.


Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial statements
  • Ensure correct application of IFRS / GAAP across group entities
  • Design, implement, and maintain internal control frameworks
  • Coordinate internal and external audits
  • Assess complex accounting topics including leases, revenue recognition, impairments, and provisions
  • Harmonise accounting policies, KPIs, and reporting standards across the group
  • Support M&A, restructuring, and special financial projects
  • Drive automation and continuous improvement of financial closing processes
Your Profile
  • University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Economics
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in financial reporting, audit, or group accounting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles
  • Experience with ERP and consolidation tools (e.g. SAP, OneStream)
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
