AECOM ADVANCE program


Graduates joining the business in a Graduate role and engaging in all elements of the ADVANCE program. The program is designed to introduce and build essential business and personal skills, helping to enhance the transition from student to professional.


Graduates are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded learning experience within the field they are joining at Graduate entry level.


The ADVANCE program lasts approx. 24 months but the successful completion of the program is only to be used as an indicator for strong performance in line with other indicators (strong or above performance rating etc.).


Job Summary


We are seeking a Graduate ICT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects across the GCC. The role is suited for a recent graduate who is eager to learn and build a career in ICT and Technology infrastructure design.


The candidate will work under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to the preparation of design drawings, documentation, and coordination activities related to ICT civil infrastructure and site-wide connectivity systems.


This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and understand industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in preparing ICT design drawings, layouts, and basic engineering calculations using tools such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Support the development of ICT infrastructure including OSP networks, fiber routing, and site-wide connectivity solutions.
  • Work closely with senior engineers and other disciplines to coordinate ICT design within overall project requirements.
  • Assist in preparing technical reports and documentation for authority submissions and approvals.
  • Support coordination with civil, landscape, and utilities teams for ICT ducting and containment systems.
  • Learn and apply relevant local standards, codes, and guidelines in ICT and telecom design.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or academic projects are acceptable)
  • Basic knowledge of design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
  • Interest in pursuing professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, BICSI) is a plus
  • Strong motivation to build a career in ICT infrastructure design
  • Basic understanding of ICT infrastructure and network concepts
  • Familiarity with design tools such as AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical knowledge in ICT systems and infrastructure
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to support report writing and technical documentation
  • Candidates must be recent graduates, having graduated within the last 24 months or no later than September 2024, to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 3.2 and above.
  • If you hold a Master’s Degree, it should have started within 12 months of completing your Bachelor’s Degree to ensure continuous education and meet program requirements.
  • Candidates with more than 1 year of postgraduate work experience are not eligible for the program and are encouraged to apply for our professional-level roles instead.
