Summary:
The General Foreman - Structure is responsible for overseeing and coordinating construction activities related to structural works on a project site. They will ensure that all tasks are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining quality standards.
Job Responsibility:
- Supervise and manage a team of workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople involved in structural construction work.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of the project.
- Inspect and ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used in structural construction.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations on the construction site.
- Schedule and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Provide regular progress reports to senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or similar role in structural construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural construction techniques and processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Health and safety certifications are a plus.
Strong understanding of structural construction methods and techniques
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Exceptional leadership and management abilities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide solutions in a timely manner
- Strong organizational skills to oversee multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Experience in budget management and cost control
- Proficiency in using construction management software and tools
- Understanding of quality control processes and procedures
