Key Responsibilities
Licensing and Regulatory Compliance
Maintain all required licences, ratings, instructor qualifications, approvals, and medical certification (where applicable) necessary to perform assigned duties.
Ensure all regulatory authority approvals remain valid before exercising associated privileges.
Comply with applicable regulatory requirements, approved training programmes, and organizational policies and procedures when conducting training activities.
Simulator Training Delivery
Deliver simulator instruction on one or more aircraft types in accordance with approved training programmes and lesson plans.
Conduct simulator sessions in a professional, safe, and training-focused environment.
Review client training and checking authorisations prior to conducting training activities.
Deliver thorough pre-session briefings and post-session debriefings to maximise training effectiveness.
Identify and document deviations from standard operating procedures (SOPs), required manoeuvres, or approved procedures, and provide constructive feedback to trainees.
Ground School and Academic Instruction
Deliver classroom-based instruction, including ground school, computer-based training (CBT), instructor-led training platforms, and stand-up lectures.
Ensure training materials and instructional methods align with approved curricula and regulatory requirements.
Prepare and inspect classroom facilities, equipment, and training aids prior to training delivery.
Training Programme Support
Support the development, validation, certification, and continuous improvement of training curricula and training devices, including Full Flight Simulators (FFS), Flight Training Devices (FTD), and Flight Management System (FMS) training aids.
Maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
Recommend remedial training plans where appropriate to support trainee development.
Track and maintain personal instructional qualifications and currency requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
Obtain applicable instructor designations and qualifications within established timelines, including relevant FAA, EASA, or other regulatory authority requirements.
Obtain qualifications required to perform examiner duties, where applicable, on assigned aircraft fleets.
Perform Right Seat Support duties as required.
Carry out additional duties reasonably assigned in support of training operations.
Valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) issued by a recognized aviation authority (EASA, FAA, GCAA, ICAO equivalent).
Preferred Current or previous type rating on Airbus or Boeingaircraft.
Minimum 3,000 hours total flight time, including multi-engine turbine aircraft experience.
Previous experience operating business jet aircraft in a commercial, corporate, military, or training environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain simulator instructor qualifications and regulatory approvals required by the applicable aviation authority.
Demonstrated knowledge of aviation regulations, aircraft systems, operational procedures, and crew resource management (CRM).
Strong facilitation, coaching, presentation, and communication skills.
Ability to deliver effective simulator instruction, pilot evaluations, and constructive performance feedback.
Ability to maintain accurate training records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
