Job Description
  • Lead and manage all fabrication shop activities including structural steel, piping spools, skids, and equipment supports.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, welding procedures (WPS), and ADNOC standards.
  • Develop and implement fabrication schedules aligned with overall project timelines.
  • Monitor fabrication progress and productivity; take corrective actions to meet targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, QA/QC, planning, and construction teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure strict implementation of HSE standards and safe working practices within the fabrication yard.
  • Oversee material control, traceability, and storage to prevent shortages or delays.
  • Manage subcontractors and shop supervisors to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all inspection and testing requirements (NDT, dimensional checks, etc.) are completed before dispatch.
  • Participate in client inspections and audits; ensure readiness for third-party inspections.
  • Control fabrication costs and optimize manpower and resource allocation.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly fabrication progress reports for management review.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering (preferred).
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with extensive experience may be considered.
  • Welding inspection certification (CSWIP / AWS) is an advantage.
  • Relevant HSE training and ADNOC project experience preferred.
  • Minimum 12–15 years of experience in fabrication for Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
  • At least 5 years in a managerial or supervisory fabrication role.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, and ADNOC standards.
  • Proven experience managing structural steel and piping fabrication works.
  • In-depth knowledge of welding processes, NDT methods, and quality control procedures.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience handling large fabrication yards and multiple concurrent work fronts.
  • Good understanding of material management and procurement coordination.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
