Function/Role:


  1. Preparing accurate, competitive and compliant tender submissiongs
  2. Review and interpret tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contract conditions.
  3. Identify project scope, key requirements, and potential risks or ambiguities.
  4. Prepare quiries (RFIs) for missing or unclear information
  5. Perform accurate quantity take-offs from drawing and models
  6. Verify BOQ quantities and highlight discrepancies
  7. Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracted works.
  8. Request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  9. Evaluate received quotations for compliance, competitiveness, and completeness.
  10. Negotiate pricing and terms where required.
  11. Analyziee market rates, historical data, and project benchmarks.
  12. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  13. Assess risks and include appropriate contingencies.
  14. Ensure pricing aligns with company profit target submissions as per client requirements.
  15. Compile cost summaries, clarifications, exclusions, and assumptions.
  16. Ensure all tender documents are complete, accurate, and submitted before deadlines.
  17. Support management during tender review and approval stages.
  18. Collaborate with engineering, planning, procurement, and project teams to refine estimates.
  19. Attend tender meetings, site visits, and pre-bid conferences.
  20. Provide clarififations to clients during post tender evalutions.
  21. Maintain updated databases of material prices, labour rates, and subcontractor lists.
  22. Document tender outcomes and lessons learned for future improvement.
  23. Track tender progress and prepare periodic reports for management.


Strong mathematical and analytical abilities
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and specifications
- Knowledge of piling techniques and methodologies
- Ability to calculate costs and prepare accurate estimates
