About the job Distribution Agent Job Title: Distribution Agent

Department: Distribution
Reports To: Distribution Supervisor (via Distribution Lead Agents)


Job Purpose:

To ensure the accurate and timely movement of freight and information while delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the departments operational strategy at the district level.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and enter customer orders and distribution accounts daily.


  • Prepare operational reports, shipping documents, and customer paperwork accurately and on time.


  • Perform data entry for receiving, shipping, order allocation, and inventory management.


  • Trace shipments and proactively update customers on order status.


  • Ensure accurate and timely billing of clients and vendors.


  • Maintain damage records, backorder logs, and inventory records.


  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to support smooth receiving and shipping operations.


  • Act as liaison between warehouse, customers, and office regarding accounts, invoicing, and credit matters.


  • Maintain strong vendor and customer relationships.


  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, operational standards, and government regulations.


  • Escalate operational issues to management when necessary.


Qualifications & Requirements:
  • 6 months to 1 year of related experience in distribution or logistics.


  • Basic understanding of transportation processes (preferred).


  • Hazardous Materials certification (preferred).


  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).


  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).


  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.


  • Positive attitude with a customer-focused approach.


  • Willingness to complete a minimum of 52 hours of training annually.
