Job Summary:


We are looking for a detail-oriented Design & Estimation Engineer to prepare accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, and project pricing based on technical drawings and specifications. The candidate will coordinate with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure competitive and technically compliant proposals while supporting project cost control activities.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed material and labor cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and scope of work.



  • Prepare and submit cost proposals, quotations, bids, and tender documents as per client requirements.



  • Review and evaluate tender documents to identify critical technical and commercial requirements for pricing.



  • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications using estimation software or manual calculations.



  • Obtain, evaluate, and compare quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.



  • Coordinate with design, engineering, operations, and project management teams for accurate project costing and execution planning.



  • Provide value engineering suggestions and cost-saving recommendations where applicable.



  • Maintain records of estimates, pricing data, and historical cost information for future reference.



  • Prepare cost summary reports and commercial comparison sheets.



  • Review project budgets and compare estimated costs against actual project expenditures.



  • Support cost monitoring and control activities during project execution.



Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.



  • 3–5 years of experience in estimation, tendering, or project costing.



  • Strong knowledge of quantity take-offs, tender preparation, and cost analysis.



  • Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation software/tools.



  • Good understanding of technical drawings and project specifications.



  • Strong analytical, coordination, and communication skills.



Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in MEP, Fire Protection, or Industrial Projects.



  • Familiarity with procurement and vendor management processes.



  • Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
