About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate must have solid experience in SolidWorks 3D modeling and industrial design, especially in sheet metal fabrication. This role is hands-on and focused on designing practical, production-ready components for fabrication using CNC laser cutting, bending, and welding processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop accurate and production-ready 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
Design sheet metal parts and assemblies for industrial machines and fabricated systems.
Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability and efficiency.
Review and interpret customer requirements, sketches, and specifications.
Create detailed bill of materials (BOM), laser cutting layouts, and bending instructions.
Conduct design reviews and provide technical support during prototyping and manufacturing.
Continuously optimize existing designs for cost, function, and ease of fabrication.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial design, preferably in machinery or fabricated products.
Strong command of SolidWorks, including Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Drawing modules.
In-depth understanding of sheet metal materials, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
Experience with fabrication standards and GD&T.
Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Practical mindset and strong coordination with shop-floor teams.
Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.
