Job description

Role: Credit Analyst
Location: Sharjah, UAE
Role purpose:


Provide full support to branches and DSU’s by reviewing and processing proposed finance applications in a timely fashion and within approved polices 
    
Key accountabilities of the role:  


  1. Examining credit Application for completeness and timeliness of information, noting exceptions for correction.
    • Preparation of error free credit docs
    • Vigilance in applying de-dupes
    • Observing agreed TAT.
    •  Compliance policies and satisfactory Risk Rating.
  2. Analyze Bank Statements so as assess its genuineness, continuity, business turnovers, cheque returns, average balances and to observe if there is any chance of artificial fabrication of such statements.
  3. Analyze applicant’s financial statements and comment on its findings (where required).
  4.  Check customer’s status through de-dupes/CBRB.
  5. Meeting the minimum daily targets assigned by management while maintaining the lowest level of errors as measured by the score card. 
  6. Escalate cases requiring higher DP with full analysis and recommendations to facilitate their decision making 
  7. Demonstrate full and up to date knowledge of ADIB’s products, policies and procedures. 
  8. Proactively and continually make and recommend system changes and enhancements, also ensure that all procedures and policies are implemented and being followed in compliance with organization.
  9. Demonstrate full team spirit and positive attitude.
  10. Perform any other responsibilities entrusted by ADIB Management from time to time and any other task assigned by Management

Results required:


  • Support business in achieving monthly budget & targets while maintaining highest quality portfolio
  • Additional support to business in capturing customers within the acceptable parameters without violating CB regulations. 
  • Contribute positively to the daily underwriting activities 
  • Improve communication branches and DSU’s as being internal customers
  • Provide constructive comments and feedback on proposed finance applications 
  • Compliance of policies & procedures – Comply and perform Key operational controls as required in ADIB’s polices & procedures in day-to-day operations.

Specialist skills / technical knowledge required for this role:


  • Good credit and analytical skills and knowledge 
  • Minimum 3 years of practical banking experience preferably in the finance & credit field 
  • Detailed knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Banking credit products & services
  • Broad knowledge of ADIB’s Retail Credit & Operational Policies & Procedures
  • Good Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations & risks
  • Good communication skills
  • Good Computer Skills
