The Consultant Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon will provide highly specialized surgical care for children with complex craniofacial anomalies and deformities. This role requires advanced subspecialty expertise and independent management of complex craniofacial conditions, aligned with DOH PQR subspecialty requirements.
Provide consultant-level care in pediatric craniofacial surgery.
Independently manage and perform complex craniofacial procedures including:
Craniosynostosis repair
Craniofacial reconstruction
Complex cleft and facial deformity correction
Syndromic craniofacial anomalies
Lead pre-operative planning and post-operative care for complex cases.
Provide second opinions and expert consultations.
Lead and participate in craniofacial multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
Collaborate closely with:
Pediatric Neurosurgery
ENT
Orthodontics
Genetics
Speech & Language Therapy
Teach, mentor, and supervise junior doctors and fellows.
Participate in clinical research, audits, and service development.
Ensure full compliance with DOH PQR, and patient safety standards.
MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
Recognized Specialty Qualification in Plastic Surgery.
Formal fellowship training in Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery from an accredited center (mandatory).
Minimum 3 years post-fellowship experience as a Consultant
Minimum 5 years post-specialty experience in a high-volume craniofacial center.
Proven independent practice in pediatric craniofacial surgery.
Eligible for or holding a DOH Consultant License with a craniofacial scope of practice.
