Job Summary

The Chassis Senior Production Engineer is responsible for planning, controlling, and optimizing chassis manufacturing and assembly operations for ARFF vehicle production. The role ensures adherence to engineering drawings, work instructions, and ISO standards while delivering consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and on-time production targets.



Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, monitor, and control chassis manufacturing and assembly activities in line with approved production schedules.



  • Ensure strict adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions during production.



  • Supervise shop floor operations to ensure effective execution, resource utilization, and process compliance.



  • Monitor production performance against defined KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.



  • Ensure product quality across all stages of manufacturing, minimizing defects and rework.



  • Identify process gaps, analyze root causes of non-conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).



  • Coordinate closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.



  • Develop, review, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure process control and traceability.



  • Optimize utilization of machinery, tools, and equipment to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.



  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards across all production activities.



  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency.



Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.



  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly operations (preferably in automotive or heavy vehicle industry).



  • Strong knowledge of chassis fabrication and assembly processes.



  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.



  • Good understanding of ISO standards, quality systems, and process control methodologies.



  • Experience in root cause analysis and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).



  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.



  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and manage multiple priorities.
