Black & Grey HR is partnering with a leading contracting company in the UAE to recruit a skilled and experienced Camp Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of labor accommodations, ensuring compliance with company policies, UAE regulations, health and safety standards, and maintaining a high standard of welfare for employees residing in company camps.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of camp operations, including accommodation, housekeeping, catering, transportation, security, maintenance, and recreational facilities.
- Ensure labor camps comply with UAE labor laws, municipality regulations, health and safety requirements, and company policies.
- Supervise camp staff, including camp supervisors, housekeeping teams, maintenance personnel, and service providers.
- Monitor camp occupancy, room allocations, employee movements, and accommodation records.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure camp facilities remain in excellent condition.
- Oversee food service operations and ensure hygiene, quality, and nutritional standards are consistently maintained.
- Conduct regular inspections of accommodation facilities, kitchens, dining areas, and common spaces.
- Manage camp budgets, operational expenses, and vendor contracts to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Address employee concerns related to accommodation and welfare in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with HSE standards and implement corrective actions where required.
- Coordinate emergency response procedures, incident reporting, and crisis management activities.
- Prepare and submit periodic reports on camp operations, occupancy levels, maintenance activities, and compliance status.
- Liaise with government authorities, contractors, suppliers, and internal departments as required.
Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in camp management, labor accommodation management, facilities management, or hospitality operations within the construction, contracting, infrastructure, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UAE labor accommodation regulations, municipality requirements, and HSE standards.
- Experience managing large-scale labor camps accommodating 1,000+ employees is highly preferred.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Strong vendor management and contract administration experience.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and camp management systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
