The Senior Business Analyst will play a strategic and operational role in designing and delivering a robust Event Registration Platform.
This role is responsible for bridging the gap between business vision and technical execution by ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, structured, validated, and successfully translated into implementable solutions.
1. Business Engagement & Discovery Conduct structured workshops, interviews, and walkthrough sessions with stakeholders across Events, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and IT.
Analyze and document current (“as-is”) processes and define optimized future (“to-be”) workflows.
Identify business objectives, KPIs, constraints, risks, and dependencies.
Capture and define functional and non-functional requirements with clear scope boundaries.
2. Requirements Documentation Develop and maintain: Business Requirements Document (BRD) Functional Requirements Specification (FRS) End-to-end process flows and swim lane diagrams Data requirements and validation rules Integration mappings and dependency documentation Clearly define assumptions, risks, and out-of-scope items.
Ensure documentation is structured, complete, and suitable for implementation.
3. Agile & User Story Management Translate requirements into well-defined user stories including: Defined personas Acceptance criteria (Given / When / Then format) Dependencies and prioritization Support backlog creation, grooming, and refinement activities.
Ensure stories are implementation-ready and aligned with business intent.
Maintain traceability between business requirements and user stories.
4. Stakeholder Alignment & Governance Act as a single point of clarity for business requirements.
Facilitate requirement sign-offs and manage changes through formal change control.
Support UAT planning and map test cases to user stories and requirements.
Ensure alignment between business expectations and delivered features.
Required Skills & ExperienceCore Experience (Critical – Must Have) Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst on digital/platform projects Strong requirements elicitation and documentation expertise Proven ability to convert business requirements into Agile user stories Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders Technical & Methodology (Must Have) Strong understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery models Hands-on experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar backlog management tools Experience creating process flows and diagrams using Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools Familiarity with API integrations and system dependencies
