Job description

Job Title: BIM Manager – Civil 3D (Infrastructure)

Location: Dubai (Airport Infrastructure Project)

Employment Type: Full-time, long-term project assignment

Role overview

We are seeking an experienced BIM Manager with strong Autodesk Civil 3D expertise to lead BIM delivery for a major airport infrastructure project, with a primary focus on grading, roads and associated civil works (no building scope at this stage). The role is central to establishing, implementing and managing BIM processes for a new design-and-build contract, in close coordination with the main contractor and end client.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the BIM scope for airport-related civil infrastructure (grading, roads, utilities and associated works) using Civil 3D as the core platform.
  • Develop, implement and maintain the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), standards and workflows for the project, ensuring alignment with client requirements and internal procedures.
  • Set up, coordinate and maintain Civil 3D models (surfaces, corridors, profiles, grading, road alignments, utilities) to the required LOD and data quality.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (designers, engineers, project managers, contractors, client representatives) to ensure timely and accurate model updates and information flow.
  • Oversee clash detection, model coordination and issue resolution for civil infrastructure elements, working closely with design and site teams.
  • Ensure that shop drawings and as-built drawings are generated from coordinated BIM models in line with project standards.
  • Support project planning, phasing and constructability reviews through model-based coordination and reporting as required.
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and technical support to BIM/CAD staff working on the project’s infrastructure scope.
  • Prepare and participate in client and stakeholder reviews, including technical presentations and model walk-throughs where needed.

RequirementsCandidate profile

Experience & technical skills

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil/infrastructure design and BIM, including substantial hands-on experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Proven track record as a BIM Manager or senior BIM lead on large infrastructure projects (e.g. highways, major roads, platforms, airside/landsides, utilities).
  • Deep understanding of Civil 3D workflows for grading, roads and civil infrastructure (surfaces, corridors, earthworks, profiles, alignment design, utilities).
  • Strong knowledge of BIM standards, execution planning, LOD requirements and model coordination processes.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard collaboration and coordination tools (e.g. Navisworks, CDE platforms) is an advantage.
  • Airport project experience is a plus but not mandatory.
Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline is preferred.
Personal attributes

  • Demonstrable passion for infrastructure and BIM, with a strong desire to deliver high-quality, coordinated digital outputs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent the BIM function confidently in client interviews and technical discussions.
  • Collaborative mindset, able to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Long-term orientation and commitment to seeing major projects through their full lifecycle.
Additional information

  • This is a long-term role aligned with a multi-year airport infrastructure programme.
  • Final selection will be subject to a rigorous client interview and technical evaluation.
