About the job ASSISTANT RESIDENT ENGINEER (ARCHITECTURAL & LANDSCAPE)

Job Responsibilities:


  • Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in supervising daily site activities and ensuring project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
  • Monitor contractor progress, manpower allocation, and work schedules to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Coordinate day-to-day site activities between contractors, subcontractors, and the supervision team (Civil, Structural, MEP, Landscape, etc.).
  • Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions for compliance.
  • Support quality control inspections and ensure works comply with QA/QC procedures and project standards.
  • Liaise with client representatives to provide updates on site progress and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor HSE compliance and ensure site safety standards are maintained.
  • Assist in resolving site technical queries and issuing site instructions as required.
  • Participate in progress meetings and prepare relevant site reports.
  • Support coordination with local authorities for inspections, approvals, and compliance requirements.
    

Key Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline.
  • Must have 7–10 years of experience in site supervision, preferably within the GCC (UAE experience highly preferred).
  • Proven experience in full project lifecycle delivery from mobilization to handover.
  • Strong background in landscape-heavy projects (sports facility experience is an advantage).
  • Solid knowledge of local authority regulations and approval processes in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
  • Strong understanding of QA/QC standards and site inspection procedures.
  • Ability to review technical drawings, shop drawings, and material submissions.
  • Good coordination and communication skills to manage contractor interactions and client communication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under the direction of the Resident Engineer.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
