About the job Assistant Production Manager
  1. JOB SUMMARY:

Production Manager will manage the production process from order placement, through manufacturing and delivery of finished goods, to ensure the on-time delivery of quality garments. Track production deliverables and status to proactively identify issues. Responsible for all vendor communication including onboarding new vendors. Facilitate confirmation of final cost and delivery dates with teams and merchant partners.


  1. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receiving Fabrics & confirming on the inventory of received materials with Merchandiser team.


Upon receiving the fabric, facilitating it to the Printing facility and coordinating with concerned personnel for further production process.


Co-ordinating with production team for process flow ensuring the work is carried out as per company expectations.


Understand and support the pre-production process.


Once Printing is done, taking the printed panels to the embroidery facility, and coordinating with concerned personnel for embroidery work.


Taking details from operations team whether styles have full embroidery and completing it as per request while ensuring it meets the quality expectation.


Both Printing and Embroidery work to be processed together once discussed & approved.


Checking on whether right size, quality and color of beads / stones/ crystals are used.


Checking on the right quality of thread being used.


Checking whether the size of print and embroidery is matching the actual pattern or not before heading for final piece.


Checking the embroidered panels once done whether softening treatment has been given or not.


Once all the above is processed accurately & successfully, coordinator will prepare the package style wise and send it to for production with a detailed list of products/goods.


Manage logistic issues for overseas transportation.


Preparing report on whole production process for senior management


To Provide the necessary and appropriate leadership and Management to the Production Team. Ensuring the production


team have a clear single point of contact for all communication from to and from the Founder, the design and Marketing


Team and HR.


To ensure the production facility and team are managed to the high Standard with respect to health and Safety, and


employment relation. Ensuring we built an environment where all employees, feel valued and Fairley rewarded.


  1. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION


Bachelor's degree in Fashion, Supply Chain, or related field.


EXPERIENCE


Minimum 8-10 years of progressive sourcing experience within complex, fast-paced apparel environment. Specialty retail and/or direct to consumer experience is preferred.


LANGUAGE SKILLS


English (compulsory) / Arabic (optional)


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES


  • Able to prioritize and re-prioritize work to meet critical deadlines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with cross functional partners at various levels.
  • Able to proactively identify issues, provide creative solution options and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Maintain production recap chart and Blue Cherry
  • Deep knowledge of the fashion industry and current design trends
  • Sound understanding of industry standard production processes.
  • Substantial familiarity with fabric characteristics and qualities.
