Join us and shape your story with Mott MacDonald, where everyone has the opportunity to be brilliant .     Job Description   Main Purpose of the Job: The duties of the Architect Inspector shall include but not be limited to the following tasks:   Key Responsibilities / Duties: Inspect site architectural activities to ensure quality of work is in compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, and good construction practices. Ensure that only approved materials and systems are used on site in accordance with approved submittals. Review architectural materials delivered to site and ensure compliance with approved samples and specifications. Monitor architectural finishes, workmanship, and installation methods during construction. Report and follow up non-compliance cases observed during site inspections and advise the resident engineer / deputy project manager accordingly. Coordinate with contractors and other discipline inspectors to ensure proper interface and sequencing of works. Review architectural method statements submitted by contractors and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Maintain daily site inspection records, reports, and photographic documentation. Assist the project team during inspections by client representatives and authorities. Participate in snagging, de-snagging, and final inspections prior to handover. Assist in reviewing architectural as-built drawings and close-out documentation as submitted by contractors.     Candidate Specifications: Bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering or any relevant engineering. Experience in Architectural site supervision / inspection of building projects. Strong experience in buildings projects including residential, commercial, or mixed-use developments. Prior UAE experience is mandatory, with knowledge of local authority requirements and construction practices. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and shop drawings. Working knowledge of AutoCAD for reviewing and interpreting architectural drawings.
