Application Engineer - Emiratisation

This role is part of Carrier’s Emiratisation program and is designed for UAE Nationals. The Application Engineer provides technical expertise, system design support, and product application guidance for HVAC solutions, particularly in RLC and VRF product lines.

The role acts as a key link between sales, engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and customers to ensure optimized HVAC system selection, design compliance, and delivery of energy-efficient solutions.

• Perform technical selection and sizing of HVAC equipment (DX systems, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, etc.)
• Review project specifications, drawings, and BOQs for compliance with client and industry standards
• Prepare technical submittals, proposals, and compliance documentation
• Support sales teams with pre-sales engineering and solution design
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and clients to resolve technical queries
• Conduct heat load calculations and HVAC system design using industry software
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations and energy efficiency standards
• Support value engineering and cost optimization initiatives
• Deliver technical presentations and product training to clients
• Support installation and commissioning activities when required
• Stay updated with HVAC technologies and regulatory developments

• UAE National (Emiratisation requirement)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 1–2 years of experience in HVAC design, application engineering, or technical sales (internships included where applicable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic understanding of HVAC systems and engineering principles

• Entry-level sales engineering role under Emiratisation development pathway
• Designed to build technical and commercial capability in HVAC applications
• Requires foundational engineering knowledge from a university degree
• Less than 3 years of relevant experience preferred

• Exposure to global HVAC technologies and large-scale projects
