The Aluminium Site Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all aluminium and façade-related works on site. This includes aluminium windows, doors, curtain walls, louvers, cladding, and glazing interfaces. The role ensures that works are executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and UAE authority requirements.
Supervise daily aluminium installation activities including curtain walls, windows, doors, louvers, handrails, and façade elements.
Ensure installation is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
Monitor site progress and ensure activities align with the approved project schedule.
Review architectural, structural, and aluminium shop drawings for accuracy and constructability.
Coordinate with design, drafting, and factory teams to resolve drawing discrepancies.
Prepare and review material submittals, method statements, and mock-up approvals.
Coordinate with factory/fabrication teams for production schedules and delivery timelines.
Verify material specifications, profiles, glass types, hardware, and finishes before installation.
Ensure proper storage, handling, and protection of aluminium materials on site.
Conduct inspections for aluminium works at various stages of installation.
Ensure compliance with project quality standards, system approvals, and manufacturer guidelines.
Prepare inspection requests (IRs), checklists, and snag rectification reports.
Attend consultant and client inspections and close out comments.
Coordinate with consultants and relevant authorities for approvals and inspections where required.
Ensure aluminium and façade works comply with UAE codes, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Support documentation related to authority approvals and compliance.
Ensure all aluminium installation activities comply with HSE requirements and site safety plans.
Conduct toolbox talks related to façade works, working at height, and material handling.
Monitor scaffolding, access systems, and lifting operations for safety compliance.
Supervise subcontractors, installers, and technicians on site.
Allocate tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure skilled workmanship.
Coordinate manpower requirements to meet project deadlines.
Prepare daily progress reports, weekly status updates, and work completion reports.
Maintain records of drawings, material approvals, inspections, variations, and as-built documentation.
Support project handover documentation including O&M manuals and warranties.
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil / Mechanical Engineering or related field
3–7 years of experience in aluminum, façade, or glazing works (UAE/GCC experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of curtain wall systems, aluminum profiles, glass specifications, and façade details
Experience working on high-rise, commercial, residential, or industrial projects
Proficiency in reading and interpreting shop drawings and specifications
Familiarity with AutoCAD and basic MS Office reporting
Strong coordination and communication skills
