Under the AFCAP V Program, KBR supports the U.S. Air Force by providing Dining Facility (DFAC)Services to the 380EFSS. These services ensure mission-criticalFood Service, DFAC Equipment maintenance and repair and Visibility, and the inspection,cleaningand maintenance of DFAC hoods and ducts to supportthe 380EFSS. Job Summary
The DFAC Site Manageris responsible forthe full operational leadership, execution, and performance of Dining Facility (DFAC) services at Al Dhafra Air Base (ADAB) in support of the 380th Expeditionary Force Support Squadron (EFSS). This role ensures delivery of high-quality food services, DFAC equipment maintenance, and sanitation operations in strict compliance with AFCAP requirements, U.S. Air Force standards, and applicable host nation regulations.
The DFAC Site Manager serves as the on-site authority, empowered to direct all personnel and subcontractors, ensuring mission-critical food service operations support.
Roles and Responsibilities
Maintain a ZERO Harm workplace, enforcing strict adherence to safety, sanitation, and food safety standardsat all times.
Provide full operational oversight of DFAC services, including food preparation, serving operations, sanitation, housekeeping, and equipment maintenance.
Ensure compliance with PWS performance objectives, including food safety, temperature control, cleaning standards, and customer service throughput requirements.
Lead and supervise multi-national workforce (USN, LN, OCN personnel), ensuring accountability, training, and performance management.
Manage daily DFAC operations, including scheduling, staffing, meal service execution, and surge support operations.
Oversee DFAC equipment maintenance and repair programs, ensuring routine, urgent, and emergency repairs meet required timelines (24–72 hours).
Ensure inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of hood and duct systems are performed in compliance with fire and safety standards.
Enforce quality control and sanitation programs, including compliance with Tri-Service Food Code and applicable Air Force standards.
Coordinate with 380 EFSS leadership, COR, ACO, and mission partners to align DFAC operations with mission requirements.
Develop andmaintaincontinuitybooks, reports, andrequiredCDRLs, ensuring zero discrepancies in reporting.
Manage inventory, stockage levels, and supply chain operations, includingmaintainingrequired food stockage levels.
Ensure rapid response to deficiencies, acknowledging issues within 24hoursand resolving them within48 hours.
Leadspecial eventsand surge feeding operations, adapting services to meet fluctuating mission demands.
Oversee Government Furnished Property (GFP) accountability, inspections, and documentation.
Maintain 100% accountability of personnel, equipment, and operationsin accordance withAFCAP and installation requirements.
Ensure compliance with LN/OCN monitoring, badging, and escort requirements where applicable.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain/maintaina SECRET clearance
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in food service operations, DFAC management, or large-scale dining facility leadership.
Demonstrated experience managing high-volume food service operations in austere or deployed environments.
Proven ability to manage multi-cultural workforce (USN, LN, OCN personnel).
Experience with government contracts (AFCAP, LOGCAP, or similar) strongly preferred.
Ability to manage surge operations and dynamic mission requirements.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong knowledge of:
Food safety and sanitation standards (Tri-Service Food Code preferred)
DFAC operations and large-scale meal production
Equipment maintenance and facility operations
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience supporting U.S. Air Force or DoD operations.
Experience in contingency or expeditionary environments (CENTCOM AOR preferred).
Knowledge of AFCAP reporting requirements and CDRLs.
Familiarity with property accountability and GFP management processes.
ServSafeManager Certification or equivalent food safety certification.
