JOB TITLE: Advisor I - HSSE (Offshore)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements.
  • Ensure training, toolbox meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the training and HSE program, i.e., emergency response systems, etc.
    Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned for promulgation to the management.
  • Oversee day-to-day HSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility. Assistance in the implementation of HSE component.
  • Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
  • Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees as required.
  • Application of hazard identification and risk assessment processes in designated areas of responsibility and implementation of appropriate control measures to reduce the risks to ALARP.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are communicated to all relevant personnel in designated areas of responsibility and verify compliance by all appropriate means (meetings, inspections, monitoring, and audits).
  • Promote HSE awareness through participating in HSE awareness campaigns.
  • Participate fully and openly in all compliance assurance audits, inspections, performance meetings, etc.
  • Carry out other related tasks as advised by the supervisor.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor Degree (4 years) OR Diploma (3 years) (from an institution of higher learning authorized to grant academic degrees in the country of issue)
  • NEBOSH IGC or equivalent
  • Lead or Internal Auditor (ISO 45001/ ISO 14001)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in HSE in any industry, with at least 1 year experience in construction, fabrication, installation and/or commissioning projects / operations / production in the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
 SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Ability to conduct HSE orientation / induction/HSE awareness sessions to workers
  • Ability to understand and implement HSE plans, Welfare plans, Emergency response procedures/plans and site specific HSE procedures / work instructions.
  • Practical experience in implementation of Safe System of Work (PTW/ WMS/ Risk Assessment etc.)
  • Awareness of practical H2S control measures.
  • Ability to conduct HSE inspections
  • Ability to understand and implement incident reporting and investigation procedures
  • Ability to speak read and write English with good communication skills
