Our client is seeking an Accountant to join their team onsite. The Accountant will support the head office finance function by managing day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple entities and countries.
The role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and ensuring proper control over company funds, vendor payments, and operational expenses.
Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records for head office and group entities
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing, verification, and timely payments
Handle vendor management, including reconciliation of vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
Maintain and control petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
Record and monitor expenses, accruals, and prepayments in line with accounting standards
Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions
Assist in preparation of financial reports, schedules, and audit documentation
Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
Coordinate with country finance teams, procurement, and operations for financial data and approvals
Maintain proper documentation, filing, and audit trails for all financial transactions
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
Experience:
Maximum 4+ years of accounting experience
Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping and journal entries, account reconciliation and BRS, vendor management and accounts payable, petty cash handling and expense tracking
Experience in working across departments
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with MS Office and other accounting tools
