Assist the Master/Hopper Captain in safe navigation and dredging operations.
Maintain and update nautical charts, publications, and voyage plans.
Stand navigational watch and ensure compliance with COLREGs and company procedures.
Monitor vessel position using DGPS and dredging/navigation software.
Support dredging operations by tracking draghead position and dredge parameters.
Act as GMDSS officer and maintain all communication equipment in operational condition.
Conduct safety rounds and ensure compliance with SMS and ISM Code requirements.
Participate in risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety drills.
Maintain logbooks, records, and assist in preparation of daily/weekly reports.
Assist in cargo/hopper monitoring, including loading and discharge coordination.
Oversee deck crew during watch and ensure proper execution of tasks.
Monitor weather, tides, and navigational warnings affecting operations.
Assist in emergency response and act as per assigned duties in emergency situations.
Ensure proper use and upkeep of navigation and bridge equipment.
Support training and familiarization of junior crew members.
Basic & Advanced STCW training
License as Officer in charge of Navigational Watch.
Medical certificate
Min 5 years experience on Dredger.
