Tax Analyst, Associate 

You will be supporting the accounting records of the Company (or Companies) in conformity with Turkish statutory regulations, IFRS, JTI policies&procedures and JSOX control requirements. 

In this role, you will provide comprehensive support to Global Tax Team Turkey to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and reports.  You will also support the documentation process in  tax audits, follow-up updates in local tax legislations, and support to related parties regarding accounting and tax queries.

The position will be based in Izmir and report to Tax Manager Turkey.

Position:

As the Tax Analyst, Associate, for Turkey Entities (Manufacturing, Marketing and Leaf Entities), you will be responsible:

• Ensure compliance with Turkish Statutory, IFRS, and JTI policies & procedures in the areas of accounting and reporting. Execute JSOX requirements.
• Support the preparation of Statutory legal books and reports.
• Support Tax audits and Legal Authority requirements.
• Support preparation of monthly tax declarations (VAT, Excise Tax, Withholding, Stamp Tax) accurately as per Turkish Statutory requirements.
• Give support for month-end and year-end financial closing activities in compliance with Turkish Statutory & JTI Policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational company
• Excellent command of written and spoken English
• Advanced level of MS Office applications
• Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
