Staff Engineer, Applications Engineer, Security


Analog Devices (ADI) is seeking Staff Product Application Engineer with broad domain knowledge in security concepts, PKI, TLS communication, and embedded development technologies. This position is in ADI Istanbul R&D Center. The center focuses on software development, collaborates with ADI’s IC development teams across the globe, and offers an international work environment.


What Will You Do In This Position:
Reporting to the Security Team Manager you will be part of the Software Enablement Team. As Staff Engineer, Product Applications you will work on supporting and designing next-generation secure products for customers using Analog Devices’ Trusted Edge Security Architecture solutions.

Key responsibilities of a Staff Engineer Product Applications, include, but are not limited to:


  • Autonomously develop the projects assigned,
  • Work with the field personnel and development team to troubleshoot, fix and manage releases for customer issues.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing evaluation kit solutions within Analog Devices,
  • Be an excellent communicator and team player,
  • Be able to independently operate in a global, diverse software development community across many geographical locations,
  • Contribute to the revenue growth objectives of the BU through continuous technical support
  • Provide level 2 customer support in a timely manner
  • Develop sample code, SDK, evaluation boards and demos
  • Support the business managers in their product promotion efforts
  • Inform and educate the field about digital security
  • Analyze customer requirements and propose ad hoc solutions
  • Write application notes, blogs and technical articles
  • Collect and analyze customer requirements and further feed the team to build the technology and product roadmap
  • Perform other duties as may be determined by management.

Job Requirements:


  • BS in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of industry experience.

Skills / Qualifications


  • Strong organization skills, and ability to work independently and in teams
  • Hands on experience in embedded software development
  • Familiarity with digital communication interfaces
  • Hands on experience with lab equipment for debug, analysis and characterization
  • Hands on experience with C language
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills across all levels, both in English and Turkish
  • Available for international travels in EMEA

Preferred


  • Ability to operate flexibly in a fast-paced environment
  • Cybersecurity: TLS, PKI and x.509 certificates, Applied crypto, authentication, encryption , IoT security concepts. Generic knowledge of threats and mitigations on embedded systems.
  • Understanding of communication protocol stacks (TCP/IP,  WiFi, Bluetooth, Industrial field buses, LoRa…)
  • Hands-on knowledge of popular embedded crypto libraries like e.g. mbedTLS
  • Basic knowledge of major security standards and regulations: industrial, medical, metering and energy
  • Business oriented mindset, very good oral and written communication skills required to communicate with our internal sales force and customers
