About The Role


As a leading jersey wear manufacturer in Turkey, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality garments to global brands. We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Merchandiser to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between customer expectations and production excellence, ensuring seamless execution from sample development to final shipment.


Key Responsibilities


  • End-to-end follow-up on jersey wear orders, managing the entire lifecycle from initial sampling and proto development to final shipment.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a robust network of local and regional vendors (fabric mills, trim suppliers, print/embroidery houses) to meet evolving customer needs and production volumes.
  • Provide expert advice and technical suggestions on product design and construction to facilitate cost-saving measures without compromising quality, thereby enhancing product marketability.
  • Closely monitor production status on the factory floor; proactively identify potential bottlenecks and implement quick, effective solutions to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Prepare, update, and analyze comprehensive production reports to provide transparency to stakeholders and management.
  • Support and mentor the wider merchandising team to ensure all deadlines are met and customer service levels remain exemplary.

Requirements


  • At least a bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering, Fashion Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of solid experience specifically within jersey wear or garment production.
  • Deep understanding of jersey fabrications, garment construction, and the specific technical requirements of knitted apparel production.
  • Advanced level of English (both written and verbal) is essential for communicating with international customers and stakeholders.
  • Result-oriented with a proven track record of meeting KPIs.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, responsive, and detail-minded.
  • A "strong ownership" mindset with meticulous follow-up habits.
