Job Description

The Cement Additives Manager is responsible for leading the development, promotion, and sales of cement additives, ensuring alignment with company strategy and customer needs. This role combines technical expertise in cement chemistry and additive formulation with strong commercial and leadership skills. The manager will work closely with R&D, production, sales, and key clients to drive growth and profitability in the cement additives business.


Key Responsibilities


Business & Strategy


  • Develop and implement the business strategy for cement additives in alignment with company goals.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Set pricing strategies, profitability targets, and growth objectives.

Commercial & Customer Management


  • Manage relationships with key cement manufacturers, distributors, and construction stakeholders.
  • Lead technical sales activities, product presentations, and customer trials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve revenue and margin targets.

Technical & Product Development


  • Collaborate with R&D to develop new cement additive formulations (grinding aids, performance enhancers, strength improvers, etc.).
  • Oversee product testing, validation, and scale-up in customer plants.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers.

Operational & Cross-Functional Leadership


  • Work with supply chain, production, and quality teams to ensure product availability and consistent performance.
  • Train and support the sales team with technical knowledge of cement chemistry and additives.
  • Prepare regular reports on performance, forecasts, and market trends.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in the cement industry.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of cement manufacturing processes and additive chemistry.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial personality, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to build solid customer relationships.
    • Organizational Skills: Highly structured and clear in thought and communication.
