Commissioning SIMOPS coordinator is a specialist member of the Commissioning team and must possess the skills to coordinate the multiple SIMOPS tasks across the Site with Construction, Commissioning and Operation areas and activities. The primary role is the SIMOPS focal point for all commissioning and SIMOPS HSES matters with other members. The general responsibilities include working closely with those stakeholders to provide positive and smooth SIMOPS coordination across the Site.

Responsibilities:

- Organizing/Attending SIMOPS coordination meetings for the daily SIMOPS coordination
- Feeding back the results of such coordination to Commissioning/Operations team
- Inspect the site conditions for the implementation of agreed SIMOPS risk mitigations
- Communicate HSES commissioning daily plans and other relevant information by conducting and participating in daily pre-start meetings, induction programs, and toolbox meetings
- Support and communicate Incident/Injury Prevention
- Liaising with Company Operations, Commissioning Management, and Construction Management
- Liaising with Emergency Response Teams
- Liaising with Incident Management Teams
- Maintain project compliance with relevant HSSE guidelines onsite by performing audits and inspections as required, setting up hazardous substances/plant registers as required for the commissioning process
- Visible commitment to commissioning and HSSE improvement programs and ensures HSE incidents are investigated to prevent recurrence and provide learning
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years Commissioning and Construction HSES experience on large capital projects preferably in a Refinery
- More than 5 years of working experience either in Oil/Gas production facilities, power plants, or chemical plants for either of operation / maintenance
- Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) or a related discipline
- Leadership by example recognizes, develops, and enhances the potential of the workforce to achieve flawless execution
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and persuasive
- Effective coaching: understands performance expectations and is effective in communicating these to the work force and motivating them to achieve required results
- Strong communication skills: capability to effectively interact with individuals of all levels
- Highly developed analytical, written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated team management and leadership capability
- Good knowledge of hydrocarbon processing
