What makes you remarkable?


  • Manage the Commissioning Agents development of a comprehensive Commissioning Plan and incorporate this into the overall Development Schedule from Cx Level 1 to Level 5 for the Project. For clarity, the expectation is that the Managed Services team helps set expectations, tracks progress, and alerts Client's project management team to any issues
  • Manage the Commissioning Agents timely development of commissioning related deliverables including a commissioning schedule, templates of commissioning checklists, and others
  • Create and communicate a plan for integration of the Client’s Operations team into the project testing and commissioning cycle and ultimately the handover process. Focus will be on dates and process for notifications to the Operations teams
  • Assist the Commissioning Agents with monitoring and coordinating corrective activity for any issues which arises during the commissioning process, from Level 1 factory witness testing through to Level 5 integrated system testing. These issues will be tracked on the Client approved quality management tool
  • Participate with the Commissioning Agents as required in meetings where the commissioning process is reviewed with the contractor and subcontractors
  • Facilitate review of documentation, including detailed equipment startup procedures, for use in administration of the commissioning process. For clarity, expectation is the Managed Services team makes sure a system and process is in place for information to be shared, as opposed to being the party responsible for distribution
  • Confirm that the Commissioning Agents works with the Construction Manager and Subcontractors in developing coordinated start-up plans and start-up documentation formats, including providing prefunctional checklists to be completed during the startup process. This is a major effort that will be led by the General Contractor, but it is our expectation that OR takes a leadership role in ensuring this happens and validating and refining the output
  • Confirm that the Commissioning Agents develops specific equipment and system functional performance test procedures and that the General Contractor, subcontractors, and Operations team review and accept the procedures for implementation
  • Ensure that Commissioning related documents are being completed and submitted by the contractor progressively, and stored in the designated repository
  • Coordinate with the Commissioning Agents and contractor on relevant directives by local authority inspections and adjust the commissioning plan and schedule accordingly as required
  • Coordinate as necessary with the Commissioning Agents, contractor and design team regarding resolution of issues that impact the progression of the Commissioning Program. Work with the Commissioning Agents and contractor to ensure items of non-compliance are corrected and the systems retested after rectification
  • Attend field installation inspections and testing as necessary from level 1 to level 5 commissioning to ensure that equipment is installed and commissioned to design requirements and specifications
  • Work directly with the Commissioning Agents and the contractor to ensure that the commissioning process is completed as required to maintain the Project's scheduled milestones
  • Assist the Commissioning Agents in coordinating the training provided by the contractor and Subcontractors as required by the contract documents
  • Coordinate the commissioning handover process with the Commissioning Agents, General Contractor and Operations team to ensure the facility is turned over 

Qualifications:
  • Degree qualified in Electrical, Telecom, Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction, data center
  • Previous experience in data center is expected and demonstrable expertise in commissioning gained through project execution within a major contractor, operator or consultancy
