Could you be the full-time Draftsman/Assistant SIG Installation Engineer in Tucheng, New Taipei City, Taiwan we’re looking for? 


We are looking for to join our Wanda Signaling Project dynamic team in Alstom Taiwan. One of our on-going main project is WANDA, for Metro Zhonghe-Shulin Line, dedicates to sustainable and smart mobility delivering the design, manufacturing and installation in Signalling and Rolling Stock.


The draftsman/Assistant Installation Engineer is a key person of the project team, working in close collaboration with a wide range of sub-systems and will mainly coordinate and take lead of installation equipment (mechanical & electrical), design, review, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. In this position, you will report hierarchically to Installation Manager.

What are my responsibilities?


  • Raise requirement of signaling equipment to civil contractor in CSDSEM CAD file
  • Prepare the BIM model of the interface drawings
  • Participate the CIP meetings for civil contractors, Track-work and E&M systems
  • Raise & Review CSDSEM drawings and praticipate inspection to verify civil output.
  • Provide alternative solution of conflicting requirement of civil and other parties
  • Coordinate different parties to optimize requirement from different parties
  • Monitor the civil progress and report to PrIM.
  • Prepare equipment delivery route and methodology.
  • Coordinate with internal design team for installation proposal
  • Coordinate with external parties for interfacing matter
  • Prepare ICD document with civil contractors
  • Site supervision during installation phase
  • Perform installation test at site (cable test, fiber test, mechanical check)
  • Perform inspection with customer and quality team
  • Support installation manager to plan specific task and monitor work execution in accordance to project / maintenance schedule
  • Submit Daily Installation Report
  • Participate Customer meeting/inspection.

What do I need to qualify for this job?


  • Fluent communication skills in written and spoken Chinese (Mandarin) is mandatory.
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English.
  • Higher Diploma or equivalent in Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineering.
  • Proficient of AutoCAD is essential.
  • Knowledge of Autodesk Rivit will be an advantage
  • Minimum 2 years or above railway construction experience can be considered as Assistant Installaiton Engineer.
  • Experience CSDSEM process and Site interfacing experience is an advantage.
  • Operational and personal safety awareness is essential.
  • Knowledge of signaling system and equipment is an advantage.
  • Railway experience will be an advantage
