Could you be our future Program Verification & Validation Manager based in Stockholm, Sweden?


Your future role


In your role, you will take part of major product development programs by leading, organizing and performing the verification, integration and test activities in different work packages, fitting the customer's needs in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.


The mission is also about defining and leading in-house project activities related with Verification, Integration and Testing, either performed by a team in your own V&V department or delegated to experts in other development departments. It will also be very important to tightly cooperate with the Software and Hardware teams to complement in-house with external testing activities whenever required. 


When Safety is involved, discuss and agree the overall V&V strategy with Safety Assurance Manager to ensure the achievement and demonstration of the requested safety targets. On a regular basis, you will share the V&V strategy with the Program Development Manager and the Safety Assurance Manager, a strategy which is defined to deliver a validated solution and agree on requested budget and schedule of inputs and deliverables. 


We’ll look to you for:


  • Define the Project Verification and Validation strategy in the V&V Plan, to ensure proper coverage and demonstration that customer and design requirements are met.
  • Collect the contributions of all involved stakeholders (e.g. Software, Hardware and System). 
  • Optimize allocation of tests in-house and externally,
  • Define and agree on different V&V activity schedules.
  • Ensure the application and adherence to internal processes and applicable norms, methods & tools, requesting deviations whenever appropriate.
  • Organize and lead documental verification and reviews.
  • Manage full verification and validation of all configured functions, together with parameters and data produced in the development project.
  • Monitor and follow-up execution and reporting of activities delegated to experts in other departments.
  • Define needs, architecture and follow-up implementation of testbenches and analysis tools.
  • Represent Alstom in front of customers, partners and auditors, for instance to provide overview of Test strategy, progress, issues, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure independence of verification tasks from design tasks.
  • Manage work packages tasks.
  • Keeping track of the deliverables generated by the V&V team for specific development programs.

All about you


  • Work experience or degree in Engineering, preferable Electronics.
  • Senior experience in relevant positions (systems / sub-systems integration, embedded equipment, electrotechnical product development) in a complex and normative environment.
  • Good analytical skill and previous experience in test & integration. In alternative, you have experience in System, Engineering or Safety Assurance. 
  • Design and data preparation processes understanding. 
  • Cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Problem solving, open minded, leadership skills.
  • English language skills; Swedish is preferred.

Desirable: 


  • Knowledge of at least one Alstom platform. 
  • Test automation experience.
