Your future role


Join a cutting-edge engineering team in Liljeholmen-Stockholm, shaping the future of railway signaling and safety systems. As a Hardware Validation Engineer, you will play a key role in the development and validation of wayside products within the Onvia Balise program, including balises, programming tools, and encoders.


This is a hands-on, technically rich role where you will contribute to both new product development and the lifecycle support of existing solutions, ensuring they meet the highest industry standards for safety, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and have the opportunity to expand your expertise toward system and product development.


You will plan and execute Verification & Validation (V&V) activities on electronic hardware systems, ensuring products meet design, safety, and operational requirements through rigorous testing and analysis.


We'll look to you for:


  • Design & Execute Testing


    • Develop and execute test cases to verify hardware requirements and design compliance


    • Perform RF/radio, EMC, environmental, and functional testing


  • Validation & Analysis


    • Define, document, and analyze test cases in line with company processes and standards


    • Interpret test results, identify deviations, and support root cause analysis


  • Test Development


    • Design and maintain electronics test benches and validation tools


    • Contribute to the development of robust and scalable validation environments


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration


    • Work closely with hardware, software, FPGA, and system teams to validate new or modified products


    • Support integration, qualification, and type testing activities


  • Product Support & Continuous Improvement


    • Support maintenance of existing products and evaluate non-conformities


    • Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of validation practices


  • Compliance & Quality


    • Ensure all testing and validation activities align with industry-specific standards and safety requirements


    • Support change impact analysis and non-regression testing


All about you


  • Proven experience in:


    • Electronics testing (RF, EMC, environmental testing preferred)


    • Development of electronics test benches 


    • Execution and analysis of hardware validation tests


  • Strong knowledge of:


    • Electronic test tools and validation software


    • Change management, configuration management, and requirements traceability tools


  • Familiarity with programming (C, C++, C#) is a plus


  • Exposure to safety-critical systems development is advantageous


  • Ability to produce clear technical documentation, specifications, and reports


  • A proactive problem solver with a creative mindset


  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills


  • Curiosity and drive to grow within hardware, system, or product development
