Job description

The Regional Operations VP is responsible for leading a cross-functional, multi-facility structure to support the operations of Asia-Pacific, the Middle East & Africa region. The position holder will oversee multiple functions across different sites in the region, including production, sourcing, engineering, quality, planning, logistics, lean, sustainability and EHS, etc.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


  • Defines regional operations strategy and priorities, and takes ownership for selected regional initiatives;
  • Aligns and prioritizes resources and budgets to meet production needs and customer expectations on quality, delivery, and cost, etc.;
  • Optimizes operational processes and footprint utilizing human resources, machines and equipment to ensure the factories and distribution centers run smoothly and efficiently;
  • Leads various initiatives to make continuous improvements;
  • Builds up a strong team to support innovation and meet customer demand on a timely basis;
  • Be a good communicator with global Operations and business teams to facilitate timely sharing of information and delivery of products and services;
  • Be a catalyst for the training and development of the whole Operations team.

EDUCATION:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management or related disciplines; MBA preferred.

EXPEREINCE:


  • 20+ years of progressive operations management experience in international companies with extensive experience in the Asia-Pacific Region.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Good knowledge of Lean, 6 Sigma and other management tools for world-class manufacturing management;
  • Be able to articulate empowering vision and strategy and translate strategies into actions;
  • Strong competence in building people, team and organization: attracts, engages and develops people and builds strong, effective and diverse teams;
  • Has demonstrated track record of results against challenging goals;
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrated change management experiences;
  • Proficient in written and verbal English. Chinese or Hindi language capabilities a strong plus.

\MANAGEMENT:


Lead the Operations teams across the region (currently we have facilities or operations teams in China, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, New Zealand and Australia).


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Work in office environment
  • Travel frequency: at least 50% within the APMEA region as required by business needs.
