Tax Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager with strong expertise in Saudi tax regulations to lead all tax-related functions. The role focuses on ensuring compliance with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requirements, managing corporate tax and VAT obligations, and providing strategic tax advisory to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance and Reporting

• Oversee preparation and submission of:
• Corporate Income Tax returns
• Zakat filings
• VAT returns and reporting
• Withholding Tax (WHT) filings
• Ensure full compliance with ZATCA regulations
• Review tax provisions and disclosures in line with IFRS and Saudi regulations
• Maintain accurate tax records and documentation

Tax Planning and Advisory

• Develop tax-efficient structures aligned with business goals
• Advise management on tax implications of expansion, investments, mergers, and restructuring
• Identify tax optimization opportunities while ensuring compliance
• Monitor updates in Saudi tax laws (Corporate Tax, VAT, etc.)

ZATCA Audits and Regulatory Coordination

• Manage tax audits, assessments, and inquiries
• Handle responses to tax notices and dispute resolution
• Ensure readiness for VAT and Zakat inspections
• Liaise with ZATCA portals for filings and communication

Transfer Pricing and International Tax

• Ensure compliance with Saudi transfer pricing regulations
• Prepare and maintain Master File and Local File documentation
• Support intercompany and cross-border tax matters
• Ensure alignment with OECD guidelines

Withholding Tax and Indirect Tax

• Manage WHT obligations on cross-border payments
• Advise on VAT treatment of transactions
• Ensure correct VAT classification and reporting

Risk Management and Controls

• Identify tax risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Establish internal controls for tax processes
• Ensure proper documentation of tax positions

Team Leadership and Stakeholder Management

• Lead and mentor the tax team
• Coordinate with finance, legal, and external advisors
• Act as the main point of contact for tax matters

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field
• Professional qualification preferred (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent)
• 6–10 years of tax experience (2–3 years in managerial role)
• Strong expertise in Saudi tax (Zakat, Corporate Tax, VAT, WHT)
• Hands-on experience with ZATCA audits and filings
• Familiarity with Saudi e-invoicing (FATOORA)
• Strong knowledge of IFRS

Preferred Qualifications

• Big Four or multinational experience
• Experience with foreign-owned entities in KSA
• Transfer pricing experience in Saudi Arabia
• ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
