The Stock Controller Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing and managing the stock control operations, ensuring that inventory levels are accurately maintained and optimized throughout the organization.
This role involves leading a team of stock controllers, implementing best practices in stock management, and facilitating smooth operations within the warehouse and distribution centers.
Lead, train, and mentor the stock control team to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
Develop and implement stock control processes that promote inventory accuracy and efficiency.
Conduct regular audits of stock levels and investigate discrepancies between physical and recorded stock.
Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and generate reports for analysis.
Collaborate with other departments (e.
g. purchasing, logistics, sales) to ensure availability of stock and support sales initiatives.
Manage stock movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Identify trends, make recommendations for stock optimization, and report on stock-related KPIs.
Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and maintain positive relationships.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to stock management.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in stock control or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of stock control principles and best practices.
Experience with inventory management software and systems.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
