Services Solution Manager

We are looking for a Services Solution Manager to join the Solution Centre and play a key role in shaping, designing, and delivering customer-centric solutions for our airline partners. In this role, you will work at the intersection of customer engagement, solution design, and product strategy, ensuring that customer needs are translated into scalable and sustainable solutions aligned with Amadeus strategy and product capabilities.



You will collaborate closely with customers, Business Domains, Product teams, and Delivery organizations to design solutions, clarify requirements, and support successful implementation across the full lifecycle.



Common Accountabilities



  • Demonstrate strong technical expertise to ensure high-quality outcomes and guide the team in complex solutioning activities. Recognized as a leader in the area and may support or train Specialists and Senior Specialists.
  • Understand key business drivers and their impact on the activity, assessing complex problems with broad organizational impact.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions, and communicate complex information clearly to both technical and business audiences.
  • Operate with a high level of autonomy within management direction and the Solution Centre framework.

Specific Accountabilities



Customer Engagement & Requirements Definition



  • Interact with customers to gain a deep understanding of business needs, constraints, and priorities while aligning proposals with Amadeus strategy.
  • Work closely with customers at early stages to define requirements and feed the Solution Centre backlog.
  • Anticipate customer priorities in coordination with the Solution Centre, Business Domains, Accounting Team, and Pre-Sales.

Solution Design & Technical Leadership



  • Lead technical qualification and own the solution design for proposals, leveraging strong knowledge of emerging technologies and the Amadeus portfolio.
  • Assist Epic Owners and Product experts in clarifying airline-specific requirements.
  • Ensure optimized use of both customer and Amadeus resources during engagement phases, including familiarization, gap identification, gap description, and scope optimization.
  • Promote Amadeus solutions by providing customers with up-to-date information on current products, enhancements, and new capabilities through meetings and workshops.

Cross-Team Coordination & Product Alignment



  • Coordinate functional streams on the customer side with Amadeus PM and Product Definition teams to ensure end-to-end solution consistency.
  • Feed customer solution requirements to Product Management for product qualification (private or community product, itemized product, or baseline product).
  • Document and present solution recommendations during solution review forums, with the ability to explain complex technical information in simple terms to diverse stakeholders.

Delivery Transition & Implementation Support



  • Handover validated solutions to SAFe organizations when entering the development phase.
  • Work closely with APX to ensure the final build aligns with the original solution design and architectural vision.
  • Support development and project management teams responsible for solution deployment.

Communication & Customer Partnership



  • Communicate progress on solutions and agreements throughout the engagement lifecycle with the core team.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to promote Solution Centre value, anticipate escalations, and identify new opportunities.

About the Ideal Candidate



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant experience as a technical business analyst or in a similar solution-oriented role.
  • Customer-facing experience, ideally within the travel or airline industry.
  • Design capabilities and the ability to communicate complex functional and technical concepts to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.
  • Sense of accountability and proactive mindset when facing complex challenges.
  • Ability to contribute to multiple projects in parallel and adapt to ecosystem constraints (e.g., SAFe environments).
